U.S. pushing Israel to stop assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists

Although Israel has never acknowledged it, the country's famed espionage agency - the Mossad - ran an assassination campaign for several years aimed at Iran's top nuclear scientists. The purpose was to slow the progress made by Iran, which Israel feels certain is aimed at developing nuclear weapons; and to deter trained and educated Iranians from joining their country's nuclear program.

At least five Iranian scientists were murdered, most of them by bombs planted on their cars as they drove to work in the morning. Remarkably, the Israeli assassins were never caught - obviously having long-established safe houses inside Iran - although several Iranians who may have helped the Mossad were arrested and executed.

1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington's chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.

2. The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

4. Iran's formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.

5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.

6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran's announcement. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran's notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to "know" that Iran is a nuclear threat.

7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.

8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.

9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel's bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.

10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as "Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

We all need to be Joe Wilson right now. We need to stand up and scream, "LIAR!" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.

A majority of German politicians responding to a survey agreed that the president of Iran should face the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

On the eve of Sunday's national elections in Germany, members of the main political parties responded to a questionnaire on the fight against anti-Semitism and policy on Iran, submitted last week by the Coordinating Council of German Non-Governmental Organizations Against Anti-Semitism and the German-Israeli Society Berlin-Potsdam.

Several respondents agreed that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad should be brought before the International Court.

The organizations released the first results of the questionnaire on Sept. 24. The major parties issued formal statements, and 22 legislators responded personally.

Chancellor Angela Merkel in her response Sept. 22 thanked the Coordinating Council "for their important work in fighting Anti-Semitism" and noting that her party, the Christian Democratic Union, intended to remain vigilant against "all forms of anti-Semitism, particularly new forms of anti-Israeli anti-Semitism," according to a statement released by the council.

Both the Christian Democrats and their partner in the current governing coalition, the Social Democratic Party, said they favored harsher sanctions against Iran and its leadership.

Two-thirds of the respondents overall said they favored tougher sanctions. The rest were undecided, notably members of the Green Party and the Left Party.

Three-fourths of respondents favored a ban of Hezbollah activities in Germany and in Europe overall.

Two-thirds of respondents, across all parties, favored bringing representatives of the Iranian regime before the International Court.

The ordinary in Islamic Iran – and they constitute the majority of population – considered Ahmadinejad to be one of their own. And he pretty much said what was on their minds. Ahmadinejad comes across to the average person in the Republic as honest, modest, and free of artificiality. His body is slim just like theirs; his face is not puffed up with the layers of affluence that come from being a “president”. One could easily confuse Ahmadinejad with any worker or craftsman in a field or in a shop.

The majority of people in Islamic Iran knows Ahmadinejad’s simple lifestyle well. He comes from a blacksmith family in the small town of Aradan – which has about forty families – a place so vague and remote that it barely appears on the map!

Like all country people, Ahmadinejad is very meek and “religious”. He is not known for being ostentations – he is not a man who likes to attract notice and impress others. And during the past four years when all his citizens were watching he was not contaminated by the disease of aristocracy and of the ruling class: vanity. On the people’s watch – during these past four years – he was working long hours (even his adversaries and political enemies confess) 16 to 18 hours a day. He was doing all this to improve the lot of the poor people; he wanted to improve their conditions. His aim was to alleviate their hardships and be their public servant. He raised the minimum wage as well as retirement pensions. Does it come as surprise to anyone that poor people all over the country would vote for him as president for the next four years? Is anyone surprised to see the elites, the upper classes of society, and the power-hungry annoyed by such a humble person and his populist policies?

Unlike his opponent (Mousavi) Ahmadinejad is more closer to Imam Khomeini’s foreign vision of folding back imperialism and zionism. He, like the Imam is not hesitant when it comes to full liberation from the evil schemes of imperialism and Zionism.

Ahmadinejad’s lightning visit to Yekaterinburg to the SCO conference in the midst of the upheaval has proved his statesmanship. In his well-received fiery speech he never referred to the crisis back home, and he was congratulated by his peers President Medvedev and President Hu Jintao for his electoral victory. His stalwart anti-Zionist stand endeared him to the Arab neighbours of Iran, even to the annoyance of Arab rulers. His weapons saved Lebanon in 2006 from being devoured by Israel. Sometimes he goes too far, but otherwise, how can he find out how far he can go?

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (b. 1956) is an Iranian academic with PhD in transporation engineering – which he taught at Science and Technology University. He entered politics and was elected Mayor of Tehran in 2003. On June 24, 2005 he won the election of President of Islamic Republic of Iran on the platform of providing social justice and fight on corruption and poverty.

Like many other Zionist myths – the myth of Wipe Israel off the map attributed to Ahmadinejad – is also entertaining to people with rational thinking. Like the others, it should also be enjoyed without being joining Zionists in their self-denial that the only country which has been wiped off the map in the modern time – is 5,000-year-old Palestine.

Mahmoud is one of the handful of people I've seen which exhibits unmistakable signs of virtue: he is truthful, but he remains entirely composed before his ungodly enemies, who are non-stop spreading ridiculous hate propaganda behind his back to demoralize Iranian people, deprecate its elected leader and foster discontent from within. No doubt none of those who hate him have the moral backbone to stand up against him in a civilized debate: Jews are too much accustomed to have give orders to be able to debate any more. The Israeli government used the potent, emotionally-charged platform of Auschwitz concentration camp today to rebut President Ahmadinejad’s latest tirade against the Jewish state.

Standing under the notorious wrought-iron gateway to the camp with its cynical slogan “Arbeit Macht Frei” (Work Makes Free), the Israeli Deputy Prime Minister, Silvan Shalom, said Iran was advocating no less than the Nazi-style elimination of the Jews.

Lieberman: U.S. to accept any Israeli policy decision

Vatican officials object to Iranian president's remarks on Israel

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- The Vatican has criticized Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's remarks about Israel at a U.N. conference on racism as "extremist and unacceptable" and said the comments promote an atmosphere of conflict.

At the same time, Vatican officials, including Pope Benedict XVI, emphasized the importance of participation in the conference, which was being boycotted by the United States and several other Western countries.

Ahmadinejad told conference participants in Geneva April 20 that Israel had "resorted to military aggression to make an entire nation homeless under the pretext of Jewish suffering" and had established a "totally racist government in the occupied Palestine." His comments prompted a temporary walkout by dozens of diplomats in attendance.

The Vatican spokesman, Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, told Vatican Radio April 20 that "statements like those of the Iranian president do not go in the right direction, because even if he did not deny the Holocaust or the right of Israel to exist, he expressed extremist and unacceptable positions."

Muslims or Iran or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have never insulted Christianity, while Jews do it every time they breathe. Remember the recent episode with that Israeli Jew smearing Christ and his mother? By all streaches of immagination, the Catholic church should have issued a condemnation not against the one who insulted its idols, but also against the state (Israel) who not only allowed, but promoted the "show" on television. But what happened instead? The church barely said anything: no outcries, nothing, just a bare "regret" from the traitorous pope.

Although today many proponents of racism condemn racial discrimination in their words and in their slogans, a number of powerful countries have been authorized to decide for other nations based on their own interests and at their own discretions. And they can easily ridicule and violate all laws and humanitarian values, as they have done so.

Following World War II, they resorted to military aggression to make an entire nation homeless on the pretext of Jewish sufferings. And they sent migrants from Europe, the United States, and other parts of the world in order to establish a totally racist government in the occupied Palestine… And in fact in compensation for the dire consequences of racism in Europe… Okay, please. What the latter cannot destroy by means of force, or by using the "free media" to smear (in absence of giving the wounded part the space to defend itself), they answer by employing the ostrich tactic of claiming "moral high ground" which gives them right to insulate themselves from criticism and thus be extempted to squeeze a dishonest answer, while their utter evilness and deshonesty stands exposed.

Once again we are able here to see the contrast between the Iranian politician, who stands out in words AND deeds for his people, and the Western politician, who stands out in words for all people, while in deeds only cares about himself (which means his own status and wealth) and thus serves the Jew in order to be graced by the media and be elected. Another thing that stands out is the honesty of Mahmoud opposed to the dishonesty of the Jewish reporter, who, to his credit, remains civil throughout the dialogue and by doing that gives the viciously smeared Iranian president ground to show what an admirable man he is: calm, thoughtful, friendly and soft spoken. Mahmoud chooses to address the root problem indirectly, without placing guilt on the Jew, which would trigger an "evil antisemite" pavlovian response. Every single thing he said is right, of course, and nobody who saw this interview can disaggree with his arguments unless commiting high treason to logic.
